Prakruthi S. Karadagi, an Architect – Urban Designer, has completed her Master’s in 2015 from RV College of Architecture. She has worked extensively on urban research and urban development projects for not-for-profits/think-tanks including Jana Urban Space Foundation. Having worked on public sector projects such as the Bengaluru Smart City Proposal and the Thanjavur Master Plan, she strongly advocates an integrated, research-based, participatory approach towards architecture, urban design and urban planning. She has participated and has been a finalist/winner in many competitions for urban development projects such as Streets for People (Nagpur Mahal Road, Jayanagar Shopping Complex) conducted by MoHUA and Manasu Gandhi Bazaar by DULT. She is currently serving as an office bearer for IUDI, Karnataka Chapter. With a passion for people-centric and inclusive spatial design, her research is focused on bridging the gaps between the providers and the users, to create a vibrant and accessible public realm.
