Social Outreach

RVCA’s NSS and Rotaract programmes promote community service, foster leadership, and enhance students’ social responsibility.

NSS: The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a government-sponsored public service programme conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. It offers opportunities for student youth in students in technical institutions, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes at colleges and universities across India. Through NSS, students can participate in a variety of government-led community service activities and programmes, fostering a sense of social responsibility and community involvement. RVCA has been conducting events under NSS such as blood donation camps, yoga sessions etc.

The main objectives of the NSS cell are:

  1. To understand the community in which they work.
  2. Understand themselves concerning their community.
  3. Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving.
  4. To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.Gain skills in mobilising community participation.
  5. Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
  6. Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and practise national integration and social harmony.

Rotaract: The Rotaract Club of RVCA is a vibrant community dedicated to fostering personal growth and meaningful connections among students. Through a variety of engaging activities and community service initiatives, the club provides a platform for students to develop leadership skills, social responsibility, and a strong sense of camaraderie. By actively participating in Rotaract, students not only contribute to the community but also form lasting bonds with like-minded individuals. The club acts as a catalyst for holistic development, empowering students to make a positive impact on the world while forging enduring friendships within the RVCA community.

RVCA has conducted events such as “Old Age Home Visits”
