Abhirami A

Abhirami A is a conservation architect and academic. She did her bachelors in architecture from Mangalam School of Architecture and Planning in Kottayam, Kerala and holds M. Arch in Architectural Conservation from School of Planning and Architecture Bhopal. She is a rank holder in B.Arch from Mahatma Gandhi University and her M.Arch thesis titled ‘Spatial Manifestation of Dance in Panchasabha: The Five Cosmic Dance Halls in Tamil Nadu’ won the Best Thesis Awards from SPA Bhopal. Abhirami has co-authored the book titled ‘Temples of Cosmic Dance of Nataraja’ in 2024 which was released at the 46th UNESCO World Heritage Convention at New Delhi.

She worked as Assistant Professor at Avani Institute of Design Calicut and pursues PhD at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru. Her specialization and areas of interest include inter disciplinary studies relating dance and architecture, cultural heritage, Architectural History, Architectural Phenomenology, Architectural Theory and Cultural Landscapes.
