RV College of Architecture is a front-runner in the field of architectural education and research in India. Academic rigour, altruism towards education, focus on principles of sustainability, and professional integrity are the values we uphold and thus strive to create an ideal environment for learning architecture.  Established nearly three decades ago, we are an institution affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and offer Undergraduate (Architecture), Postgraduate (Urban Design) and Doctoral Programs approved by the Council of Architecture. 

All our endeavours are guided by industry standards, technological advances, and emergent ideas in the discipline. We strongly believe that the learning process for a complex and dynamic discipline like architecture needs to be collaborative, participatory and creative at its core. We are committed to the advancement of knowledge through scholarship, research and innovation.

 We follow a holistic and comprehensive teaching approach that integrates humanities, sciences and arts with design education. We offer student-centric learning programs supported by on-ground experiences in the form of Workshops, Talks by eminent experts, symposiums and Events in partnership with eminent Universities and colleges in India and abroad. This keeps our students updated with the current practices in architecture, enhancing both creative and critical thinking, and aids in developing new perspectives and solutions for the changing needs of the modern world.

 Our students get access to the latest media and information infrastructure, vast library resources, fabrication technologies, product development and manufacturing laboratories like 3D Printing Labs on campus.  This enables them to create, exchange, and materialise new ideas that address challenges posed by present-day society and respond to changing trends in the field of architecture. We also encourage our students to explore and experiment with diverse ideas and develop and present novel design approaches by participating in knowledge-sharing events like Exhibitions, Outreach Programs and Competitions.

 All our learning initiatives are ably guided and supported by a large group of in-house faculty from diverse inter-disciplinary backgrounds (Urban Design, Urban Planning, Interior Design, History, Theory and Criticism, and Sustainable Architecture) engaged in research and consultancy along with a diverse set of visiting industry experts. Our in-house Training and Placement Cell facilitates placements in various Architecture and Urban Design firms in India and abroad.

Our graduates are valued for their creative, interdisciplinary approaches, and design capabilities and are accepted to notable Universities across the globe to pursue post-graduation courses. Our alumni are successfully running architectural practices and actively pursuing research worldwide in architecture or allied fields like product, interface, graphic, and game design fields, construction and management.
