Akanksha Singh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design Studies, Nagpur (2017) and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal (2020). She worked in Landscape architecture “Ficus” briefly before walking into academics. She currently teaches Building Construction and Materials, Landscape Architecture, Graphical representation etc. at R V College of Architecture, Bangalore India. She conducts a value-added certificate course on “Significance of Vedic Vastu Shastra in Contemporary Architecture.” She is also pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, where her research thrust is on Sustainability Studies in Architectural Pedagogy. Apart from architectural pedagogy her research interests also include healing and therapeutic landscapes, hospital landscapes etc. and she has presented papers on the same at various conferences. She is also a member of ISOLA (Indian Society Of Landscape Architects). Along with her contributions to academics, Akanksha is also a part of Onsite Insights, an initiative to provide a platform for contemporary architectural practices to showcase their projects, and thus exchange their ideas and work experiences.
