Apoorva. D. K. holds both doctoral and master’s degrees in construction technology and management from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, along with an undergraduate degree in architecture from the BMS School of Architecture, Bengaluru.
Her academic research has consistently reflected an inclination towards overlapping interests in engineering, architecture, real estate, law and policy-making.
Her research expertise lies in the Indian real estate sector, specifically probing the efficacy of the demand and delivery sides of housing market.
She takes a multi-disciplinary approach to research, and her works reflect a commitment to using rigorous mixed-method approach to arrive at solutions to research problems. During the course of her doctoral program, she has presented multiple papers in international conferences like the International Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution Workshop (2022, 2023) and indulged in dialogue with prominent researchers from around the world.
Additionally, she has published in niche journals as the Built Environment Project and Asset Management. Her stints in the corporate world have been as a consultant for the real estate advisory and valuation division of JLL, Bengaluru, and as a probationary engineer at the Ozone Group, Bengaluru.
