  • She has previously held academic positions at Gateway College of Architecture and Design, Sonipat, and SJB School of Architecture and Planning, Bengaluru. Her teaching experience spans both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, underpinned by a pedagogical philosophy that encourages critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and research-driven architectural discourse. She mentored award-winning student teams in national competitions such as Transparence and further led academic workshops on contemporary and emerging themes in the discipline.

  • Dr. Asmita has served as the Editor-in-Chief of STHALA, the institutional journal of architecture and planning. She has been invited to serve as an external juror at national institutions such as SPA Vijayawada. She has also contributed as a resource person in the Faculty Development Program (FDP) organized by Sri Balaji College of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur. She has served as an empanelled item writer and examiner for prestigious national entrance examinations in design,architecture and planning.

  • She is also an active peer reviewer for reputed academic journals including the American Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering, The International Journal of Design Education, Planning Practice & Research, and Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives (Scopus indexed).
