Mr. Nishant is a conservation architect. He completed his B. Arch. from SPA Delhi in 2012 and completed his M. Arch (Architectural Conservation) from SPA Delhi in 2015. At present, he is pursuing his PhD in ‘Heritage Economics’ from NIT Calicut. He worked for the CPWD, New Delhi as a Deputy Architect on the execution of the “Proposed extension to Parliament House Annexe building complex”. He has also contributed to the renovation works of the existing Parliament Library, Parliament House and the Old Parliament Annexe building. He worked as a trainee with Author cum Temple Architect ‘Adam Hardy’ on ‘The Ashapuri group of temples site, in Bhopal. He is interested in academic research and served as an Assistant Professor at McGans School of Architecture, Ooty. He taught Architectural Design, Building Construction & History of Architecture. He is interested in traditional & vernacular architecture and in developing architectural solutions through an understanding of indigenous knowledge systems. He has presented several research papers at national conferences on architecture. Other than this he has worked as a consultant for a few residential and adaptive reuse projects. Other than regular academics he has completed several online courses on NPTEL/SWAYAM and got selected for MSc in data science at IIT Madras.
