Ms. Vidya V completed her Bachelor’s degree from R V College of Architecture in 2013. Her thesis was presented in the National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis conducted by NIASA and the work was published in its yearly handbook ‘Archiving ‘13’. She has built her professional career as a practising Architect for five years, working across architecture firms and corporate firms, cutting across sectors like residential, commercial, hospitality and interiors. As a design manager, she has tremendous site exposure and expertise in handling large-scale projects. She believes in equipping the students with practical exposure which will bridge the gap between academics and current industry practices.
She has been working at RVCA since 2019 as an Assistant Professor. She is a co-founder of the Placements Assistance Cell at RVCA. She is proactive about connecting with eminent firms and coordinating campus interviews to secure good job placements for students. She is also a co-founder of the Cell GlobEd which hosts national and international universities and provides a platform for the exchange of information on the Global Prospects for Higher Education in Architecture and its allied disciplines. She has been actively working on projects under the Consultancy Cell. She has completed a few in-house projects along with being actively involved in Competition projects.
