William George Kennedy
Assistant Professor
William George Kennedy is an architect, product designer and researcher working at the intersection of architecture, product design and building systems. He holds a Master of Design in Building Products and Systems from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, with a focus on material experimentation, product development and human-centred design.
He is currently pursuing his PhD in Architecture and Design at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru. His research explores rooftop tent systems and mobile shelters within tourism, investigating temporary, modular and adaptable alternatives to conventional tourism infrastructure. His research interests include material reuse, adaptive systems and product-service models in architecture.
William has experience across architectural practice, product design and architectural education. As an Assistant Professor, he taught architectural design and product development, contributed to curriculum development, and curated exhibitions, workshops and student showcases, including projects at Dubai Design Week.
His practice also spans residential architecture, product and architectural photography, material exploration and hands-on construction. His work brings together design practice, physical making and research.
