NSS (National Service Scheme)
- The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. NSS was launched during 1969, the birth centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi. NSS is an additional dimension of higher education to orient the youth to community service while they are studying in educational institutions.
- Under the National Service Scheme (NSS), RV College of Architecture has1 unitwith 120 volunteerswho provide service to the society.As a part of this unit, students gain skills in mobilizing community participation, acquire leadership qualities and build up a democratic attitude among themselves. The NSS unit of RVCA has been instrumental in inculcating a sense of social and civic responsibilities among the students.
NSS Program Officer
- Mr. Puneeth H. K. serves as NSS Programme Officer at RV College of Architecture. He has represented the institution at NSS Camps at Inter-College and Inter-University levels.
- Mr. Puneeth has been certified as an NSS Programme Officer by the State NSS Cell, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka after successfully participating in the NSS Training Programme conducted by the State NSS Cell at NSS Bhavan, Jnanabharathi Campus, Bangalore University.
The Catch the Rain-2024 Campaign is a nationwide initiative launched by the Indian government’s Ministry of Jal Shakti. It aims to promote rainwater harvesting and other water conservation practices at the community level.
Under the umbrella ‘National service scheme (NSS) unit “ of R V College of Architecture (RVCA), RVCA conducted Catch the rain-2024 camp; for land water management awareness program which was held on 29.08.2024 in the doddaladamara area in Tavarekere,UttrahalliHobli, Bengaluru.In this event RVCA, 50 volunteers and many faculties participated from NSS unit.
National service scheme (NSS) unit of R V College of Architecture, celebrated National Space Day-2024, As per reference of VTU circular conducting paper model making computation on given theme “Touching lives while touching the moon India’s space saga” held on 22.08.2024 at RV college of architecture,Bengaluru. In this event our college faculties and more than 100 students participated.
