The Placements Assistance Cell at RVCA has been active since 2016. Initially, it was devised to play a mediatory role between the Students/Alumni and the Recruiters, which helps them find their comfortable workspaces as per their area of interest. From 2021 onwards, we have moved on to a higher platform by connecting with established firms for an on-campus interview scheduled through college. Due to the current scenario, we are also open to an online mode of interviews, as per the recruiter’s requests.
This has facilitated our Students and Alumni to find themselves in suitable workspaces.
The Placement Cell operates annually to facilitate contact between companies and graduates.
GlobEd is initiated as a formal guidance and assistance cell at RVCA to inform students about competitive higher education opportunities in architecture and allied disciplines. The GlobEd team has been hosting annual international events with the primary intent of bringing together the academic world and engaging the students of architecture with a common platform to connect with the best universities across the globe. The objective of GlobEd is also to ensure that the students receive first-hand information on studying abroad by inviting student ambassadors, representatives and alumni to share their lived experiences.
Since its inception in 2020, multiple sessions have been curated to host speakers from some of the prestigious universities to enlighten the participants about the availability of various courses, their structures, application processes, scope and prospects.
GlobEd’s event profile is twofold: One international event planned as an online/hybrid event to host international institutions once every year with multiple sessions spreading across at least two days and the second that includes periodical/recurring sessions spread across the entire year to host the Indian institutions and universities that offer competitive courses for Masters as well as PhD.
The representatives of the universities will directly interact with the students to provide relevant insight into the different course structures, prospects and application processes.
A separate session with the Alumni is also held to encourage discussions beyond academia such as living cost, community living, food, culture, entertainment etc.
