RV College of Architecture is ‘Calling for Proposals’ for the inaugural edition of the annual journal, sub:version

The journal is intended to provide an academic forum for interdisciplinary reflections and dialogues on space, place and time in the Indian subcontinent. Using a varied palette of written, graphic and audiovisual formats, the journal aims to inform, inspire and invite readers to engage in critical imaginaries of space and place in the everyday and beyond.

As home to RVCA, it only seems fitting that the first edition of the journal is dedicated to Bengaluru, its multiple meanings, arrangements and identities. Accounts of transformation, displacement and disparity are not unique to Bengaluru but what is unique is how they unfold locally in the city’s complex and
contentious terrain of narratives and counter narratives to create new layers of meaning and memory.

The inaugural edition is therefore a homage to this city – as it was, is and can be.

We thereby invite proposals in written, graphic or audiovisual formats from contributors engaging in critical imaginaries of the Indian subcontinent. We are sharing the ‘Call for Proposals’ document below that provides more details about the journal in the hope of your contributions and further spread of word.
